"Moment Like You" is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter and actress Lia Marie Johnson, distributed through Stem and released independently as her first single on December 16, 2014.[1] The single reached number six on the electronic charts. In a press statement, Johnson explained, "When writing the song, I was thinking about how when you find someone you really like, you just want to be with that person."[2]
Lyrically the song is about insecurities in a relationship, where the narrator is uncertain of the direction they are heading, not wanting to be left alone. However, she feels confident it is destined, waiting her "whole life" for someone like him to be in her life. Fans speculated that her boyfriend at the time, JC Caylen, inspired the song.

The single was available for pre-order on December 9th, and was added to the soundtrack for the film, Expelled (2014), which starred herself, Cameron Dallas, and Marcus Johns.[3]
In an interview with Sweety High, she revealed that she co-wrote it with Michael Warren in February 2014. She added, "It was basically just about being left alone and feeling alone, and how you don't want to be alone. That's not the best feeling in the world and you kind of just want to have someone there with you. When you're having a good time you want someone to share that with." When the record appeared in Expelled, she was surprised, as it was a last-minute addition.[4]

The accompanying music video was published to Johnson's YouTube channel on January 9, 2015. It was directed by George Nienhuis, where filming began back in December 2014.[5] A teaser was posted to Johnson's Instagram four days prior.[6] In the behind-the-scenes video, they explained the concept of Johnson going into a dream state, and waking up in the end. As of June 2022, the video has garnered 4.6 million views.
